Vinna explores the intersection of identity, awareness and collective wisdom as a means to building deeper, more meaningful connections with herself, the communities she belongs to, and the world that surrounds her.

Her many labels in life include meditator, spoken word poet, aerial artist, runner, baker, acting coach, facilitator and guest lecturer.

Trained in classical acting and devised theatre in Seoul and London, Vinna continues to explore new creative horizons through movement, writing and various acting philosophies.

As she evolves as an interdisciplinary artist, Vinna is increasingly interested in questioning our learned responses to the pervasive physical and emotional challenges of our time, with awareness, play and fluidity as tools for resilience.

As a theatre maker, Vinna believes in creating spaces where difficult conversations within and between communities can be had. One of her notable projects is an immersive show “DUALITY;” a show mounted in conservative Malaysia aimed at creating a safe space for the LGBTQIA+ and non binary community to exist fully as themselves, as well as a space for audience and performers to explore the extremes of the gender binary and everything in between.

As the co-founder of Cognatus (UK) with actor-composer Siiri Partanen (Finland) and Susanna Hyvärinen (Finland), Vinna created “The Ideal Woman”, combining spoken word, song and movement to embody narratives carried within women’s bodies through different cultures and generations. The show was created, grown and performed in both the UK and Spain.

Vinna currently guest lectures at London Contemporary Dance School, teaching “Creative freedom and performance presence”, a pedagogical training conceived through Vinna’s practice in Vipassana meditation and an amalgamation of various intuitive acting techniques, spurred by her continuous curiosity to thread the thin line between living and performance.

She has also recently mounted her first ever exhibition at Bow Arts London, with 2 experiential spaces; “The room of remembrance” and “There is almost nothing in this room”, as part of Apocalyptic Yesterday, an exhibition curated by art collective, Hidden Keileon.
