ABOUT

Vinna is a Malaysian born Chinese actor-creator with an MA in Acting from East 15 Acting School, UK and trained in South Korea prior to that. She enjoys exploring various forms of storytelling through her body and voice and in recent years have trained in the aerial arts, specialising in aerial hoop.

As a theatre creator, giving back and creating spaces for communities to have conversations are very important and that is very much reflected through her work as a director/producer/performer for both The VSC Project (Malaysia) which focuses on gender based issues in conservative Malaysia, and Cognatus (UK), a women led international company that hones into the experiences of women from different parts of the world. Through both companies, Vinna's work has been performed in Malaysia, UK and Spain.

In late 2022, Vinna joined the DSL Lab in London led by DSL Director Andrei Biziorek, a space for selected actors who are dedicated to exploring the technique of the Demidov School of Acting.
